Maybe ebay should just consider shutting down the whole website while trying to fix IT, becausethey are WHOOPED!
Vladuz OWNS ebaY! IT should be obvious by now...
Looky here, at the counters.
How many of those folks were victims?
Is ebaY going to continue to unsist it is the victims fault, when IT is THEIR faulty, unrepaired code which allows for re-directs from WITHIN ITs site?, Their INABILITY to stop this? Their IMPOTENCE!
Again, I have all these source codes as proof.
As well as a mountain of posting which were pulled when concerned individuals sought to alert fellow consumers on ebaY discussion boards, all to save their chaste reputation.
(Just like quite a few of us now, BTW)
Have a doughnut and take some free advice, ebaY.
Do the right thing...

The other thing, lots of the listings contained email addies, which, when searched for, did NOT show up, yet when searching for the same item(s) using different terms, they _did show.
One in other group of scam listings in particular would not allow copying. If you wished to search for them you would have to actually type the desired terms in. I have the pages saved.

Why would ebay want to stop this? If this guy is hacking into other users account and posting auctions by the 1000's, look at all those listing fees ebay will be able to collect from the unsuspecting users who credit cards are about to be raped by Ebay.

Ebay has to be loving this. $$$$$$$
I have a sneaky hunch they will not be loving IT too much before too long.
(reprise of increasingly maniacal laughter)

My Ebay sig? It was inspired by ebay continually ignoring the policy violations of Sandy Purins. I emailed back and forth with Avery over Sandys recent admitted auction interference and was finally informed "let it die, nothing will be done". The poodle is above the law. She can do what she wants, when she wants with no fear of punishment by ebay.
One can only assume why they continue to protect her.

Ha! It would not metter anyway. They are not even in control of the website, Vladuz is. They cannot stop it, or it would not still keep happening. They have been bested.
The part about that type of auction listing is that everyone will click on it and be redirected to a fake sign in page.(again, from WITHIN the site, within the listings.) At some point, I went back to check another tab, and the redirect site was broken, taken down, whatever.
Anyone can easily get that code, make a couple small changes, and BLAMMO! instant scam tool!
What do you think the odds are that the problem could exponentialize?
I did capture a bunch also with code sloppily hanging out too.

Well IT looks as though Hack-o-Rama continues still. These appear to be invalid, but fresh listed. AS I post this there are freah listings only 15 minutes or so old.
What was that about a plug?
[This is edited. Removed original, unedited pix (oops)]
But here now an example of these products being listed nearly instantly. Note the time remaining.
Anon, what are they going to do? They can't let this continue, and they can't seem to stop it or want to stop it. It sux to be an honest e-bay seller these days. oh yeah, and it sux to be an honest e-bay seller these days.

Hmmm... Now this is odd. These show via searching on one of my computers, but not the other.
(one xp, one ME, xp found them)
The hackers seem to be manipulating code in ways unseen, IMO.
Also, ebay can void, or make invalid the listings (as these are now) but they cannot get rid of the thumbnails on the search or category pages, these have been there for, well t5hey show 4 days, 8 hours, 9 minutes . I trimmed these down from 1400 pixels wide.
Pathetic, yet Hilarious.

I would kind of like to watch Meg chew her leg off.
Anon, I try to stay away from T & S since I discovered that there are as many fake posters there as on the Paypal board. The eBay party line is alive and well on T & S thanks to Rob Chestnut's bunch of flunkies.
Well, just a sample of the CARNAGE from last night
Looking at thosecharts you have to wonder...
If ebaY were a water treatment plant, or an amusement park, or any number of other ahem, venues, IT would be SHUT DOWN for the protection of the consumsers/public/users/customers.
I see NO signs WHATSOEVER that ebay has this HUGE A$$problem under control.
