B22301 / Thu, 15 Mar 2007 17:14:59 / Corporations So today in the wee hours of the morning I got hacked. My ebay, hotmail and paypal accounts all got “compromised” of which I have only been able to regain control of my paypal account due to quick password changing. I have spent the last 14 hrs in customer support for both ebay and hotmail trying to regain access to my accounts on these sites, or at least shut down the accounts I once had (and took pride in). I don’t even have much of anything (a whole 23 positive transactions on ebay and nothing but useless personal contacts on hotmail). The person who hacked my accounts changed passwords and “secret questions” so I’m completely locked out. In order to reset password on ebay I need to be able to access my hotmail account and my hotmail account requires a correctly answered “secret question” to access it once the password has been changed. Why they can’t require the “secret question” answer to anyone trying to change the password is beyond me. So some stupid **** who figured out my password at hotmail was able to acquire the passwords to my other accounts and change all the passwords and secret questions to everything. This is what I get for trying to use the internet to help fund my escape from the society that they thrive in. Let this be a lesson to everyone…Karma’s a bitch…and change your passwords weekly or better!

Ahem... Isn't there some sort of gov't body that is supposed to regulate things like this? If so, we need to file complaints.
Anyone recall the outrage over that superbowl/janet jackson's breast incident? Where is it now? I have seen and documented downright hardcore porn, not just naked ladies. Others have too, no doubt.
Some may notice that I clicked on everyone of the links for the "Take a Tour" listings.
Not sure whether ebaY has fixed anything, but I was never redirected, no embedded objects found. I saved some, but have not looked to see just what the trick was or was supposed to be.
But that brings me to another point;
These girls are real people. Their websites are watermarked in the pictures. They deserve to be informed that their images are being displayed in HACKED ebaY listings.
OMG. This is really seeming to get worse and worse and worse all along. Already I have seen some fake sign-in pages, but now they are on members "about me" pages. Just guessing, this could be some other hackers, who were able to simply view source, copy, modify as need be for their purposes.
Next, we see the high volume, non stop PUMPING of listings into the sysytem, note the number os items, Vs the times in these next screencaps. I sat there reloading page and making a screencap, "manually", with mwsnap, takes 5 seconds or so, they were rapidly increasing. CARNAGE!!!
Finally, for just a bit of humour, the screencap dejour
But there is more...
More porn, more consumers complaining about it on ebaY forums.
EbaY/liveworld pulling more postings which would serve to alert and help protect consumers,
Helpful, informative "About Me" pages going missing...
Oh, what a tangled web...
I will have something good later on my blog, so check back.
You make the most interesting (and good looking posts) Bud!
It's a ZOO over there at eBaY that's for sure. It's like - The Tragedy of the Titantic!

Sometimes, you will find listings such as this next example, where the seller/consumer is vigilant/ and/or re/pro-active, (or left to fend for themselves, from another perspective perhaps)
I have seen and captured some other fine examples where the hackers/hijackers hammered away with more and more revisions, flogging the seller, and most likely, confusing the prospective bidder/buyer, if not altogether scamming them.
Interesting product, yes? Whatever else, we need to keep the murderabilia crowd @ ebaY pacified, please, let us not fail.

Nice thread Div. Good catch. Do you think e-bay is just going to continue like they are???? Some of their problems would be so easy to fix, if they would just give a crap! Sadly, They make money whether their customers get screwed or not. They just suck all over the place! I really miss selling on e-bay. It was just a hobby for me, but it was fun. Now you have to jump through so many hoops trying to protect yourself, that it's just not worth all the hassle.
The HackFest is still going strong, in fact I think it is even worse now. These are just a couple that I found... These may even still have active listings as I post this
And, of course more porn. Hardcore porn. ~ LOTS of them. And... 2 more listings with Carmen Electra. The main pix in the auction never resovled, but I captured these two samples and more
That is the very same photo (albeit thumb sized) as is already posted here and elsewhere, and in my video.
Above, some of the listings are visible on my tabs.
WoW!!! I could be wrong, but I may have just found one hijacked account with nearly 50K listings.
Also, some of the hijacked sellers which I know for a fact had all the hijacked listings pulled are back with bouku items again, maybe as many as 3-4 days in a row.
And, of course the hookers are back, taking tours with Model T fords, Lincolns, you name IT.
Hey, I want a diamond dinner ring for twenty bucks too!

OK, it continues. These 1st 2 are actually from a couple nights ago, before the wildly successful Shutdown Day 2007
I notice a certain small town in Illinois seems to be a recurring theme of some of these hijacked auctions...maybe in a "kit"? Note the seller is registered in Ohio if you look.
He sure had a lot of "stuff"
And there is no getting rid of these;
The screencap dujour. I like the "bogus" part. This guy ruleZ! He should tell everyone to quit reporting fraud and start complaining to the law and the media.
WoW!!! What I am seeing is some of the same email addies re-ocurring, some of the same items and locations over and over. I wonder why ebaY cannot seem to stop them?
I am begininning to believe that all this fraud is EXCACTLY what ebaY wants. Look at the stock prices! Are they using the scam auctions to pump up their bottom line? Anyway, lookie here, same email addy as at least a couple times before.
Look at the times, they kept pulling the bogus listings down, and the scammer/hacker kept pouring the on!
And the Hacker was everywhere!!! A small midwest place...
...Riverside CA... (Isn't that where Archie and the Jugheads are from?)
Florida...
Then, clicking a couple brought really strange results...
While veiwing this and the next one, all js seemed disabled... along with what you see
Even closing all other tabs and clearing cache and cookies yielded the same results, til the auctions were pulled. Next time I will try more than one computer.
Strange indeed. It could have just been pegging CPU usaage, but who really knows...?
As soon as I closed tose tabs, everything came back to normal.
Here another example of the hijackers/hacker being able to use the same email addy for the listings. A repeat performer.
Note that it appears more than one account was hijacked by containing the same email addy.
So who is it that keeps insisting that folks are giving away their PWs?
BOGUS!!!
The ebaY site is like swiss cheese. The hackers OWN IT.
They are doing things with the code hitherto unseen.
Example:
I use slimsearch FF extension. Many times now, I have highlighted terms and run the search for ebay, only to go to the default, blank (no terms in the textareas) advance search page. Even going back and actually copying the terms yielded the same results. I also have bookmarklets I made myself, same results.
I may still have screencaps or files from even earlier.
Funny that ebaY can make a "bot" to find key phrases like "accepting google checkout", or "cash accepted", but they cannot stop this sort of thing.
IT is begiining to appear that this is all a HUGE money making scam, ebay makes the bidding all invisible, lets reported hijacked auctions run their courses, shuts everyone up, with pink vacations, removes their "about me pages",
It's amazing. "Take a tour with a whore" Becoming XXX rated isn't going to be good for their image, but at least Slandy and Clinic will still have work! And Tex must be in auction whore heaven.
All this time I thought e-bay was saying that their company was based on TRUST, not LUST!!!
"IT is begiining to appear that this is all a HUGE money making scam"
I agree. I said a few days ago I think this whole hacking issue is an inside job design to increase ebay profits. Each day that goes by, it is becoming more obvious.

Rememeber the chinese BIN bandit scam from last year? They sure buried that. ahem , almost...
Yes , you and anyone else who feels that way are not incorrect.
1) They are well aware of the scamming.
2)They are profiting from the scamming.
3) Through their various actions, and inactions, they have/are creating/perfecting an environment/system which harbors and/or incubates scams.
4) It is a clear and continuing pattern of behavior.
Yessiree bob, someone needs to lace up their boots and go get those thugs.
A couple more repeat performers, again showing that the hackers OWN ebaY
Firstt, eusale4u@gmail.com. This hijack email has made more than just a couple appearances.
Next, we have repeat hijacker fabiocappello@gmail.com... Now you can't compete with that! Those wimmins will be lining up tp get scammed by fabio. All women are suckers for italians.
Here we have Marcia_Swain@msn.com, selling a whole bunch of farm equipment, which all looks strangely familiar
Check this out
Makes a great Easter Gift!!! Oh, imagine the joy felt by all, when you get crucified on ebaY!!!
Hilarious!
Oh, except if you are the hijack victim, getting a bill from ebaY and having to go through an auto-email-responder flavored LIVING HELL getting IT all straightened out.
(which, we all well know is much easier said than done when some outfit does not have the common sense or courtesy to even read an email, or respond appropriately. [read: not a canned reply])
