Very interesting story. Looks like the ebay fees helped "do him in".
I am good friends with a former high volume packaging seller on ebay (boxes, bubble wrap tape etc). He shut down about 1 1/2 years ago. His main reason for shutting down was because ebay would not work with him on his fees. He tried to negotiate lower fees due to his volume and ebay refused. His sales were about 1.5 million the last full year he sold.
Note to ebay: DISCOUNT FEES FOR HIGH VOLUME SELLERS YOU IDIOTIC GREEDY BASTARDS.
How many more high volume sellers does ebay need to lose before they figure this out?
