They are doing away with bidder search. That means you will not be able to determine if you are being shilled if you are a bidder. and you will not know if someone is bidding on 199 similar items to yours without paying if you are a seller. It will also be a great way for ebay to let the shills stay concealed from the entire community while earning ebay more FVFs.

Also apparently discouraging checks and money orders.
