Mike Rudolph, eBay's Director of Education & Events, has left eBay to go to VA Software's OSTG division as Vice President of SourceForge.net Marketplace. Rudolph joined eBay in 2001 where he developed integrated service and support offerings to buyers of merchants' products. Rudolph also spent time as head of the computers vertical and most recently managed the eBay Live user conference. Rudolph made a splash last month when he fulfilled his promise to shave his head if the 2006 eBay Live conference was sold out. With 15,000 attendees, the Las Vegas event was sold out, and Rudolph followed through on his commitment by shaving his head (http://ebaychatter.typepad.com/the_chatter/2006/06/ebay_live_sells.html).
The head of Skype's Developer Program Lenn Pryor is leaving Skype, owned by eBay, to work at eBay in San Jose on mobile commerce. Pryor made the decision to relocate from the UK to California for personal reasons, as he outlines in his blog (http://lennpryor.blogs.com/lenn). According to the Skype blog, the company is close to finding a replacement for Pryor (http://share.skype.com/sites/devzone/2006/07/times_of_change.html).
