I see it was not such a good day for sleazebay or painpal. I wonder what is really behind the prez of PP leaving? Although it could be any unknown number of things, I doubt the reason given was the real story.

I think either they fired him, or he is jumping ship because Paypal is about ready to tank. Something might be going on and he doesnt want to take the wrap for it, or he doesnt want it to reflect badly on him even if it is just tanking... Then again, maybe Google made him an offer he couldnt refuse... Too bad we cant find out.. haha..
Yes, I think the news of Jeff getting the boot from Paypal has shocked the pro-Paypal crowd. And eBay stock losing 5% of it's value in one day would scare any eBay stock holder. I'm hoping for another big loss on Friday so the undercover pinks can spend this weekend worrying about their future employment status with eBay/LiveWorld/Paypal! On another note, I noticed cliniclady is posting more with her Jake ID and she even brought out her old *unlisted* ID on one post. I guess she's getting too much of a bad rep posting under cliniclady2000. Keep up the fight, guys. I'll be back in two weeks! In the meantime, check out my two paragraph trashing of Paypal in my "about me" page! I had fun writing it! LOL!
xppman, you are dead on it when you say overwhelmed. For the last few months they have had to defend themselves and PayPal constantly. They have been provided links and quotes which proved to be trustworthy, sufficient, and truthful which they could not deny. They've been caught in lies via screenshots, NARU'd from eBay and more.
Overwhelmed is EXACTLY it.

I know this.. no one in their RIGHT mind would be defending ebay and PP right now or hanging out on those boards seemly 24/7.
Unless they were paid to so.
I'm so glad I have a website and don't have to depend on ebay or paypal to make my living.
If I did I would have been out of biz about three years ago when ebay really started going into the decline mode. I can't see it getting any better from here on out either peeps.
They have ruined the brand and I honestly believe there is no turning back.
Consumer confidence on both sides sellers and buyers is at an all time low. ebay reached it's peak maybe four years ago or so and now it is all down hill.
At every turn they just seem to be turning more and more people off to the entire ebay experience and I HAVE NOT seen anything that they have tried in the last couple of years do anything but compound the problems.
You can go take a look at just about any forum on the web that deals with OAI and see the handwriting on the wall when it comes to ebay and PP.

As to them, I said quite a while ago they were losing control of the board. My fondest hope is that they are raining in the Helens on the board, and will stop harassing the antis and start listing to them. They better, their stocks floundered around today, made a little gain then started down again.
They are in serious trouble and the rats are jumping ship. Ebay cannot afford to lose about 25% of its income because the people at pp do not wish to recognize the fact they are in trouble. The only way pp will keep afloat is to stop taking CC and start teaching the buyers they are no the king any longer on eBay.

PayPal, eBay and definitly the buyers will be better off.
