Question about Auction Listings

If I state the following in my TOS, will this be in violation of any eBay policy?

I accept cashiers checks, personal checks, postal money orders, and credit cards.  I do not accept PayPal.  You will be invoiced after auction end.

My EOA email will include the information needed to pay via snail mail and my Google Checkout Button for payment.

I am about to list some auctions and want to clarify before I do.  I think I will be ok because I am not offering GC in my listing and am also giving alternative methods to pay.  What do you all think?

Thanks!

PS - anyone got any news of a "discount listing" day coming up?  Man they are few and far between!

Nappers,

Thank you for your help... I dont see where it would be against their policy. I dont see anything in the listing that would get you pulled. There are many sellers that use their own invoicing, checkouts and merchant accounts.. Maybe you just keep a  better file system with your invoicing and checkout?or you have a private merchant account? Who would be able to tell? If someone reported you afterwards I really dont know what ebay would say. But considering it seems that other sellers are able to offer their own private merchant accounts, what would be the difference? They just advertise CC accepted. So I dont think Ebay could do anything to you. Also The way you had it in your other auctions.. No Paypal, No exceptions was good.. It gives the impression that you really have something against Paypal, instead of Paypal having something against you...

Well thats my thoughts...

I don't see anything that would be a listing violation, but at this point I am so paranoid that I would be careful about what is in the email invoice. If it were me I would try to set it up so the bots don't find anything that is not "eBay PC".

I wouldnt put that in the official ebay invoice. They sure might find that. Putting it in your own email or auction service invoice should be okay though.

Now that I see at least one big powerseller using google though it should only be a matter of time before it is ebay kosher.

I read a thread over there about that and they copped to the fact it was ok. Even had a quote from a pp policy guy admitted it was ok. That is what I am going to do. Go Nappers. I have a interesting post to make as soon as I get it together, trouble is I am enjoying having my grandchildren here from Mexico. I will get to it.

NO PAYPAL

I have a couple of auctions running like that.  I made me a mermaid template header that captain*janeway would just vomit over...lol.  She said my mermaid was a "stripper in a costume" and that it broke policy on siggy's (the one I use on the eBay boards).

Ironically, eBay allows the selling of nude mermaids in their regular categories (not in the mature categories) so I said it would remain until eBay asked me to remove it.  They never have...lol...and they can't because they allow the exact same painting to be sold in eBay.

Anyway, where was I going with that?....oh!  I just put my TOS in my auction template header and never mention GC.  My EOA invoice will be created by me and allow payment through GC, MO, and checks.

If others can use GC with their 3rd party pymt processors then I will as well.  It is acceptable for them to use it, so why am I any  different?  Ya know!

eBay has shown their fear - loud and clear - by banning GC and even changing the name of the SPP to do it!  They are doing EXACTLY what Google wants them to do.  Consumer backlash against eBay will be phonomenal and Google will get all the free publicity they want.
