Well Its Black Wedsnday... Finally June 28th.. Google's Gbuy Day! Its 3 Am here and I feel like its Black Friday (day after thanksgiving sale) and Im up in the middle of the night waiting on the Doors to open... I hope that while paypal sits with my $22 and millions of other dollars from undeserving victims, that they take the time to reflect on how their greedy mob like ways has brought them to this day. They should ask themselves this question... "Had we not stole millions from people, destroyed business', costed people their homes and cars by freezing up all their money and destroyed lives in general, had we not done all of this, would have we been so worried about Gbuy? Looking around this office space, Would all these little faces in their Paypal cubicles be so grim?"
And we as the victims shall mark this day, as a day of victory, and we shall regard this victory as a HUGE slap in the face of the Paid Pros, knowing it will only be but a short time, and paypal will have to hand out PINK SLIPS.
From this day forth we shall go out with new hope. A hope that will surely bring profits and profitable business to those of us who work hard to provide great products and great customer service while adhearing to the Ethics that Paypal never acknowledged.
This Day the Paypal Victims will cheer in unison....
I'm on it. News reports are hitting everywhere. Nothing "real" yet, but reporters are salivating at the mouth to get on this one.
I'm like a kid in a candy store. Been waiting TOO LONG for this day. I figure ther'll be a few slip ups since they are new, but I'm definitely understanding to that. PayPal has had 6 years to fix their slip ups and they only got worse.
Well ya know that has been in beta testing for a while now. People who got on GoogleBase got a chance to try it
Oh and BTW, all you need to do when listying on ebay is be sure to check the box for credit cards on p4 of syi. Do NOT put anything about google payments in your auction. Do not use ebay checkout, use a different service to send invoices if you run so many auctions you cannot do it manually. I should say it is not for smaller sellers.
All some buyers really want is to pay with a credit card. They could care less about PayPal. Lots of them have already been scammed by them.
Of course postal money orders are still the very best way to go. No one minds sending one for a worthwhile item.
When people insist on PayPal, the scam warning lights and bells go off bigtime. I get them to mutually cancel the sale. I have lost my last dime to PayPal.

PayPal, which has more than 100 million users, is a key business for eBay. Its revenue rose 44% to $335 million in the first quarter, a bigger gain than the San Jose, Calif.-based company saw in either its domestic or international auction businesses.
Pressure from Google "can only cause eBay to get more focused on execution and innovation," says Standard & Poor's equity analyst Scott Kessler, who has a strong buy rating on eBay and a neutral rating on Google. "This is a great, great buying opportunity on this news."
For Google, payments makes more sense than other recent offerings, such as its Web-based spreadsheet, since they're more directly related to Google's core advertising business. eBay can do little to stop Google from encroaching onto its PayPal business, even though it's been one of the search engine's biggest advertisers for years.
The auctioneer also is dependent on Google to drive traffic to its site, which has more visitors than any other ecommerce company. eBay executives have already said that they don't plan to reduce their spending on Google.
eBay also is trying to shore up PayPal through its alliance with Yahoo! that was announced last month. eBay estimates that 10% of all U.S. online payments are processed through PayPal.
Investors also may be more keen on online payments than other recent Google offerings outside of search, e.g. the aforementioned spreadsheet, which haven't wowed them. Plus, the opportunity is huge.
Online retail sales excluding travel were $113.6 billion in 2005, up 28% from a year earlier, according to Shop.Org, an online retail trade group. Sales are expected to rise to $138 billion this year. It doesn't need to gain nearly the market share that PayPal has to be successful,'' says Darren Chervitz, of Jacob Asset Management, which owns shares of Google and eBay among its $112 million in assets under management.
Google has discussed its interest in a payments system for months. The company is set to begin testing the GBuy service this week, according to the Wall Street Journal. Both Google and eBay declined to comment on the story.
The top search engine has said for months that it plans to offer a digital payment service, while insisting that it has no interest in competing against eBay's PayPal payments unit. For its part, eBay has insisted that its relationship with Google is as good as it's ever been.
Wall Street has had trouble believing the spin coming from either company.
"It is competitive, for crying out loud,'' says Sasa Zorovich, an analyst with Oppenheimer & Co., who rates Google as a buy with a $540 price target. "You use one as a substitute for the other.''

I wonder if googles servers will get overwhelmed by traffic and crash in the first few hours/days?
I wonder how many more PayPal accounts will go dormant in Q3?
Can you imagine the gnashing of teeth in the ebay/PayPal camp right about now?
I have a sneaky hunch PayPal will regret the day it went into peoples bank accounts and robbed them, because YES, no matter what those ^%$#ing LieWorld shills say, they DO!!!
I can only hope anti-PP folks caused and will continue to cause them to lose more money than they robbed them for by a thousandfold.
May the quest for FREE stuff will never stop either

eBay and Yahoo recently struck a deal calling for Yahoo ads on eBay and PayPal on Yahoo, but it's not at all clear that an eBay/Yahoo combination will be enough to challenge Google
LOL Ebay/Yahoo is like the blind leading the blind. Neither one of those companys has made any subtantial improvements in years. Ebay is just pissing in the wind with that... Clearly an act of desperation. I guess Next they will buy Hotmail from MSN... LMAO HAHAHAHAHA really making inroads..
One of the pros (mimi I think) over on the PP board thought the Ebay/Yahoo deal was going to save the world and argued that "Yahoo was the most trafficked venue on the internet, 2nd to google"... HAHAHAHA I was like "the backseat to Google is like 100 cars back!!" HAHAHAHA Are these people even on the same planet??
I bet Greedy paypal probably only pays the pros Minimum Wage... And cheats the hell out of them on the hours too!! LOL come next week the pros will probably get an email "We are sorry, but due to your unusual activity with the last pay check we sent you, we've frozen your pay check, we will let you know the outcome of our investigation in 180 days" HAHAHAHA Ahhh wouldnt that be sweet...
Well ya know that has been in beta testing for a while now. People who got on GoogleBase got a chance to try it
I made me an Ad on Gbase and bought into Adwords, but I was never offered any type of payment system. Also I cant get the stuff to show up in the google search engine. So I am really trying to figure it out. I raise Miniature Pinschers, and Iv got a litter (not ready yet) but I am trying to figure out how to advertise them on Google. When I look at the Ad I placed, it says that it is active, but no hits// So I dont know what I am doing wrong with that... Any suggestions from anyone???

I only have ONE ID on this board now and it is this one. I told admin they could remove the only other one I had, which I am quite happy with. You all (think) you know who I am now so why should I hide ?
BTW - that's an apt picture you've used - probably the only bush you'lll ever see.
Who gives a S H I T? I dont...I think everyone here is smart enough to improvise! Too bad you can't. I dont guess you read it was 3am in the morning when I wrote it? My intelligence is in question? Is that why I am graduating with a 4.0 with a BS in Science next spring Dan? Or do they just give scholarships away to idiots? Evidently I made the intelligence quota to get thrown off the PP board. Isn't that how our posts are graded? Once we reach a certain intellectual level, we are considered too over-qualified to post? Since thats the case, you will never have anything to worry about. So you just sit there in your bedroom and waste your life getting fudge packed by paypal.
I bet he's the type to get naked, then $hit in the floor and scoot around in it.. then get up wipe his a$$ on the curtains... I can just picture him doing that between posts...
