May-27-06 17:35 PDT I guess the payment had already processed, and I hit the pay button thinking maybe I hadn't clicked the first time.
Anyways, I got 2 paypal payment received statements, there are 2 payment transactions in my account, they have the same auction numbers. I only purchased one item, and that shows in the sellers history as well. The transactions are a mere 10 seconds apart.
I've emailed the seller, do I need to take any further steps? How long should I wait for a response?
cliniclady2000 (82 ) View Listings | Report May-27-06 17:51 PDT 1 of 98 If you have e-mailed the seller I would give it until Tuesday night as this is a holiday weekend. If no reply in 7 days, file an item not received dispute thru Paypal. You can also pull the sellers contact info and call them.
sewmuchbetterthanu, I'm glad the seller refunded the duplicate payment...
cheaperknives, I think cliniclady's advice in post #1 was correct. If the seller had refused to refund the duplicate payment after a week or so, what would be your advice to the buyer?
drazyd It does not take a Philadelphia lawyer to figure it out...really.
Wait....I though clinics sister Slandy said she couldn't answer any questions because she isn't a lawyer. You two need to get a little better organized.
This has got to be a Helen classic, telling the op to lie and cheat: If you have e-mailed the seller I would give it until Tuesday night as this is a holiday weekend. If no reply in 7 days, file an item not received dispute thru Paypal. You can also pull the sellers contact info and call them.
I loved it, then here come Sandy doing damage control: sewmuchbetterthanu, I'm glad the seller refunded the duplicate payment... cheaperknives, I think cliniclady's advice in post #1 was correct. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! You got to love it. Sing them a song and go find someone to help. They are still beating that dead horse over there.
Ignore them, they will slink off to a coffee break.
Here is a great post from dimsey I found on another thread a while back.
READ this post below because it also demonstrates how the pp boot licks are doing a disservice Not only to the victims but to pp itself wen they tell everyone to use their credit card to pay for purchase using pp. --------------------------------
Actually 53% of paypal payments are made with a CC, to be exact
... which incur the highest processing costs and reversal risks, which make eBay very nervous. eBay wants a certain percentage of payments to be made by bank or paypal balances, despite the lack of consumer protection afforded to customers who use these riskier payment methods.
The more credit cards are used on paypal, the bigger the risk to eBay of "damaging paypal's business". Passing the credit card reversal risk to sellers is eBay's attempt to limit its own exposure.
Senders funded 53% of PayPal’s payment volume using credit cards during both 2005 and the first quarter of 2006, and PayPal’s financial success will remain highly sensitive to changes in the rate at which its senders fund payments using credit cards. Senders may prefer funding using credit cards rather than bank account transfers for a number of reasons, including the ability to dispute and reverse charges if merchandise is not delivered or is not as described, the ability to earn frequent flier miles or other incentives offered by credit cards, the ability to defer payment, or a reluctance to provide bank account information to PayPal. PayPal has received inquiries regarding its disclosure practices with regard to funding mechanisms from the attorneys general of a number of states, and in March 2005, a complaint seeking class action status was filed alleging, among other things, that PayPal’s disclosure regarding the effects of users’ choice of funding mechanism is deceptive. While we believe PayPal’s disclosure is legal and accurate, any required change to our disclosure practices could result in increased use of credit card funding, damaging PayPal’s business.
I agree that she has some real psychological problems. Anyone who would devote so much time to a company she supposedly has no ties to has to have something wrong with them. She is so ademant about how great they are and very defensive.
Alrighty then, I really wonder about this one. First post here, she claims she is a seller. . . .
. . . Then not too much later she posts this:

. . . So folks, you tell me, what in the world is up with this person?
Cliniclady2000, or Helen, or whatever your name is, would you care to comment on this? Can you see why people think poorly of you and why you have ZERO credibility?
Cliniclady2000, what is wrong with you?
Are you a liar, cliniclady2000?
Would you care to regale us with your definition of "lies and false allegations", and other false statements?
Think about that one.

I wonder if these guys have used their OTHER ID's to BID UP on poor unsuspecting buyers?
Oh BTW cliniclady2000 once you post something on a "PUBLIC Board" it is well... PUBLIC.
No copyright infringement. Don't want your rants put out there... simply don't make them.
Yes they have been known to remove their own post too and I BUSTED Sandy a few years back when she tried to copy and paste a PINKS post over shipping to a confirmed address and the new SPP requirment.
She omits part of the pink post and replaced it with her own words.
I BUSTED her BIG TIME on that one and of course she promptly REMOVED both her and my posts about it.
Oh Sandy is also Mutt_dog
Get this.. back a few years ago things were so heated up with pissed off pp customers she started posting song lyrics with her Sandy ID.
Yea songs lyrics... that is what I said...can you believe it?
Then she forgot to log out on her Mutt-dog ID one day and starting posting songs lyrics with that ID too.
Remember being a little kid and you when you didn't want to hear someone.
You would cover your ears and sing a song or just hum, yell or something to try and drown out the person speaking to you?
That's these ass wipes in a nutshell. Stuck in third grade.
Really top notch employees lieworld hires to promote ebay huh?
The do sometimes find it hard to all their ID's. LOL

What is this, posting song lyrics on the ebaY/Paypal boards in response to concerned and/or upset posters, or those seeking help?
Well, what an amazing co-inky-dink. I was also just thinking about a song which reminded me of sandy, cliniclady2000, and danshilltard and the rest.
Folks, tell me, are these certain posters(LiveWorld PAID shills), along with their employers, some criminals?
Should this sort of corporate shilling go unchallenged under law?
Shouldnt we focus on that, as well as PayPals mal-policies and practices?
I say we inform each and every poster over there with a problem to contact any and all govt agencies, media outlets, lawmakers, consumer advocate, consumer review sites and so on, to further expose what (IMO) are outright, blatant examples of corporate or white collar crime.
What else now... SandyPurins has another ID, mutt dog?
What happened, was imreallyabigfatnasty&bustedredhandedworthlesslyingturdofacorporateshill not available?
Oh, scarecrow from wizard of oz, what, did you believe for a second the flying monkeys would not be sent to get you, (and maybe your little doggie too?)

I believe I have seen examples of that myself.
At first I thought you meant that script or other trickery to fool unsuspecting boards readers into believing it was official by manipulating tags or inserting a graphic image file of some type for that pink header. I doubt it takes an html genious to do that. (although I doubt sandy can)
