Dear eBay Queen: I am a victim of buyer fraud on eBay. On May 5, sold a Lenovo laptop to a member who is no longer registered. This user immediately paid ($1,023.74) for the laptop using PayPal, but emailed me to let me know he wanted the laptop to be sent to Indonesia instead of his address in Australia.
The idea of sending the laptop to another location seemed suspicious, so I called eBay customer service at 3:12 p.m. May 5 and talked to a customer representative. She informed me that if I did not send the laptop, I could be marked with negative feedback and be reported as a non-selling seller. (Whatever that is.)
Later in the day, I mailed the laptop USPS Express International to Indonesia...
