PayPal Hits The Mall: eBay's Baby Takes On Google, AmEx And Apple At Cash Registers

You'd use PayPal to buy a second-hand leaf blower from a stranger on eBay. But would you use it to buy a new leaf blower at the Home Depot checkout?

PayPal bets you would. And eBay's money transfer subsidiary has been quietly, quickly rolling out its hugely successful operation to a shopping mall near you to test that hypothesis.

On Wednesday, PayPal announced that its cloud-based payment system is up and running in 250,000 stores across the country, from big-name chains like Home Depot, American Eagle and Foot Locker to smaller family-run businesses.

It will be interesting to see how this works for paypal. It doesn't seem like their massive change of culture is real, as expected.

obiwan_You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.png

When people see that paypal logo, they will be compelled to tell the establishment some choice facts about our pals.

As long as they have things going on like their paid undercover liars, abrasive creeps climbing the corporate ladder, assorted posers steering clients to solutions which benefit paypal while presenting more risk to both sellers and the customer, Administrators who think people's paypal issues are something to laugh about, the dingbat diversion scam etc, they will continue to have troubles.

That's aside from the nonstop freezing of funds etc, the glitches, the secret policies etc. The absolutely incompetent customer service and all the lies! Paypal is a much hated and reviled entity.

Oh yes, and then there's that very real and serious fake account issue. Wow! That was news some time ago, now it's completely pervasive! The number of outlets for those fake accounts has gone through the roof! Anyone with enough skill to use a search engine can find all they want. Yikes! It's bad, check it yourself.

Then the issue of the malware, trojans, drive by downloads. Golly, I wonder if tha has anything to do with all the mystery echeck glitches etc. Whats a matter paypal, are you hacked ? muahaha rotflmao
