This is quite telling. Never before have I seen this. Three current threads on the paypal forum where folks are stopping by to let others know they closed their accounts and why.
Members exiting the premises are given a swift kick, a few parting jabs and an assorted condescending statement or two by paypal's charming first line reputation defending, PR crew/forum helpers.
If you look here I think you may find some explanations for such things.
I'm wondering how many others unseen or heard are closing or will never use it again due to various factors?
Make no mistake, they don't like the noise, but they fear the silence.

More topic threads and many more people chiming in to let the fine fine folks at paypal know they are closing accounts.
Paypal's little firstline PR helper crew over there is doing a great job alienating folks too. That should help client retention rates. Keep up the good work.
