$33,000 internet car scam originating on ebay, but that's just the start... I imagine there will be some follow-up.

Another auto scam, this one began on Craigslist, and included the ebay VPP con. Same scam can start anywhere.

 

 

Again, never send money through any payment service for any vehicle you can't see and drive in real life.

The auto scams are just as bad if not worse than the 'regular' hijackings. No telling how many times the same scam listing will sail righ thriough, all while ebay bots are busy making lives miserable for the unwashed masses as they hunt down offenders of key phrases such as google checkout, money orders  etc to find one rotten VIN.

But once again, do you think they could clean that up IF they WANTED to?
