Looks like ebaY is finally going after the buyers. No doubt they will implement the new [secret or unannounced] policies with all the usual skill and precision they are famous for.
This type of thing may backfire upon them in the upcoming Holiday season's fake ID fueled buyer bloodbath.
On 18th of October I have got an e-mail from eBay stating that due to "-- An unusually high rate of buyer protection cases being opened." my buying rights are being restricted for 14 days. Additionally - I am being PERMANENTLY and INDEFINITELY removed from eBay Buyer Protection program.
I have called eBay twice after these mails and spent close to 40 minutes on the phone. So far - no proof of the above statement (An unusually high rate of buyer protection cases) has been provided. Currently - I have only one open case against a seller who can not proof that the item is even shipped. Case was opened more then 45 days after the shipping supposedly took place. I am really puzzled what to do here as eBay keeps telling me the same story all over again and refuses to lift the restriction on my account - although there is no valid reason for this punishment is communicated.
Please help and tell me - anybody else having such experience as buyer?
