Most moms would say that there kids were worth the world to them; however this mom was looking for a price. In Australia, a mother is being investigated for allegedly putting her children up for auction on eBay.
Police officials went to Victoria, Australia to investigate the woman who put her children up for auction. A tip from an eBay auction buyer led the police to a woman who uploaded photos of her son and daughter under the age of 10 and wrote a "lengthy sales pitch."
Shockingly, several people placed bids on the children. An eBay member called the Sexual Offenses and Child Abuse unit to investigate.
The page was taken down before the bidding could end. When police arrived at the home of the mother who put up the eBay auction she claimed it was all a joke.
Police said they may investigate the bidders. Welfare agencies are coming to the home of the children to investigate the family to see if the kids need to be taken away from a possibly abusive mother.
My question is, when the eBay auction ended...was the buyer going to show up to take the kids? Police have every right to be suspicious of such a joke especially when human trafficking happens everyday
