From its correspondence with our proxy account holder Mr Pan, our PayPal account was initially frozen because "PayPal needed to ascertain the nature of the business the site is conducting".
This is probably due to the concern that PayPal has over the rate and amount of payments into the account in such a short period, reasonable concern in our opinion.
However. we further understand from Mr Pan that he had then contacted the PayPal's Customer Service Officer and explained to her that our site is a non-profit socio-political blog advocating "freedom of speech" and provides an online platform for readers to exchange and share their opinions on matters that affect daily lives. Mr Pan added that the payments received were goodwill donations from our readers towards the operational cost of our site.
