I also wonder whether any fullfillment centers will be stocked with counterfeit returns, alleged counterfeit returns, SNAD and/or alleged SNAD items etc. We've seen sleazebay get caught red-handed in things like that before.
They are already thick as thieves. GSI doesn't look to be an extrememly booming venture. I'd say there is a chance that deal is about hiding billions in losses.

Nothing would surprise me. ebay is more like the iceberg than the titanic. The 10% we can see looks mighty tainted. The part below water is made of the same stuff, just 9 x as much. Imagine what's going on below? eeek.
EBay Inc. on Monday said it will pay about $27 million to settle lawsuits by shareholders of GSI Commerce Inc., which eBay is acquiring, that accused the companies of shortchanging GSI shareholders.
Under the settlement, eBay will pay about 33 cents per share to GSI shareholders when the deal closes, in addition to the $29.25 per share that's due for the acquisition....
