OK this stuck out, so I started grabbing screencaps.
Pretty obvious this was noticed and reported.

Must be nice to drag your heels while others are going through untold stress and gaawd only knows what else...ID Theft, being billed for the listings, negs from bidders, whatever...

Went on to get the body. Gee the hackers have a nice layout, yes?

By the time I got back to the main page, I notice a bid. Note the times encoded in the screencap titles are all Pacific time, look at the intervals here. (oops, I notice the image shack munges the times when I added the alpha-titles, this all occurred within about 5 minutes, from 2007-03-28, 08_15_15, til 2007-03-28, 08_18_18, actually around 3-4 minutes)

Note the bidders name.

This is only one of THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of hijacked listings every day.

I sure hope all the folks affected all try and get together and launch a MASSIVE lawsuit against ebaY.

Clearly, they are not taking action to secure their website, nor protect their members, or the casual surfer.

IMO I think ebay is dragging their feet to fix this because they are making money from this. How many sellers actually sit down and figure up how much their ebay bill is each month? Most would not notice the extra fees charged and never dispute them. Ebay is probably laughing all the way to the bank on this one.

IMO this is also an inside job set up for the exact reasons above. It certainly will not hurt their next quarter profits.

Of course you are exactly correct Dan, and everyone knows IT, including ebaY.

But they fear the TRUTH.

They LOVE the LIES.

That is one thing they will NEVER, EVER have on their side is the TRUTH.

If they cannot lie their way around IT, or over IT, or under IT, then they ban, delete ,

or intimidate.

Did you see they banned Firemeg for one whole month? They really fear firemeg. Each and every question asked at that sham of a town hall thread was verrrry valid, by firemeg, and tonnes of others too.

The ambience over there on their own "trust and safety" board is turning into mostly sneering sarcasm and bitterness if you cannot tell. They have alienated some of their most ardent supporters.

Did you listen and hear how many of those concerns were addressed in the "official" town hall for 29-03-07?

What does happen when mickey gets p!$$ed off?

Because somewhere down the road, Disney will be hearing about all the Disney scams on ebaY and move to protect their customers.

Might be a good place to bring more awareness to this situation.

Anyways, here is a snippet from a couple days back
