I couldn't help but notice, the front page of the Nazi board. The threads by the anti's have hundreds of posts, 1/2 of those by the "opposition". That leaves no time for anyone to answer the questions being posed by ALL THE PP VICTIMS. They aren't recieving any help, but at least they aren't being lied to. Maybe we should give the pros some help, and pitch in to direct those poor unfortunates that are being ignred, in the right direction!
pete-and-repeat (10 ) View Listings | Report Jan-28-07 20:54 PST 9 of 11 then the next day the seller was listed as no longer a registered seller. I would guess that it is the magazine seller.
So for those who would like to do a little detective work:
1) Go to OP's feedback. Click on the auction.
2) Roll your mouse over the Paypal "Smartlogo" and note the email address.
3) Take a sentence out of the auction description.
4) Plug it into the search bar - with quotes. Note the 40 results - a magazine seller - registered about 3-4 days after the OP's seller was suspended. Registered in the same state.
5) Go to one of those auctions - Roll your mouse over the Smartlogo in that auction - same Paypal email address.
-------
-Apparently it is very simple to just register a new ID after suspension. (but we all knew that)
-Apparently Ebay and Paypal have no communication about any accounts - Ebay account suspended - Paypal account still active.
-And are we to believe that NONE of the new sellers buyers used the Smartlogo with the "Old" Paypal email address to pay. They've had plenty of sales.
Why is there no money to recover in the account ?? DISCLAIMER: FREE advice - use it or NOT !

MY COMMENTS ON THIS:
Bottom line is:
paperdreamsmagazines NOW NARU with eBay for not following through and delivering the product after being paid. (I guess) 112 negs in 12 months for this.
Is now
monkeymagazines
A FRESH new start with a new ID and an eBay STORE to boot, filled with pages of Mag. subscriptions to buy.
Already has at least 23 feed back too. WTF? peeps are leaving FB before the get thier product? Or is this all part of something even bigger? Could most these FB's be bogus and either being fabricated by the seller to boost FB quickly, or are "others" working in some sort of "ring" with this scammer?
Proves ONE THING WE HAVE BEEN SAYING ALL ALONG. eBay does indeed profit from scam sellers and as you can see, this seller is, as we speak accepting PP payments when PP told the OP buyer: (of this thread above) "We have decided in your favor, however, we were unable to recover any funds from the seller's account."
I guess this new ID could be using another PP account but still using the old Verify logo.
Which raises other questions.
How is it one seller can have two PP accounts that accept CC's?
As we are TOLD. You can't do this and PP's state of the art fraud detection / prevention programs will pick this up. (What a bucnh of Bs) So if this person was able to do this. How is it PP and eBay has not caught them doing this?
Or is it they at ppBay can care less, as long as they get thier cuts?
Now LOOK past that as Pete brings up the question: "Why is there no money to recover in the account ?"
(which is BTW ON TOPIC)
Look who now wants to try and take the topic into another direction.
What about the fact PP is saying: "there is no money to recover in the account", yet this person is selling on a new ID and flying the PP Verified shield using the same e mail address as the now NARU eBay seller. The other "them".
Oh well no worries for me and I wont be reporting this seller as I don't care what these scammers are doing. Apparently they have the full blessing of eBay and PP to do it, and it seems to be keeping eBay's coffers full at the moment, so what would be the point?
I just thought it was interesting and wanted to show just one more example in the mounting evidence that ebay and PP are indeed profiting from criminal activity.
Wonder where all those good old "honest" LW poster PPbay cheerleader types are on this one? Seems poopy data don't care. More concerned if the item "qualifies" for the bogus BPP than the fact this scammer is already back up and running again.
OK. I can't help it. This thread has me interested to WATCH the PP cheerleaders divert off the topic. Shows me these PP butt licks are indeed all as corrupt as the company as well.
I better go ahead and log this one: Here is the OP: +++++++++++++++++++
Paypal won't reimburse me?!?!?!
kkbrg (9 ) View Listings | Report Jan-28-07 18:48 PST I ordered several things from a seller, paid via paypal (attached to my debit card), then the next day the seller was listed as no longer a registered seller. After trying unsuccessfully to reach the seller, I filed a complaint with paypal, and here is the email I got from them today: After careful review, we have concluded our investigation of the Buyer Complaint described below.
We have decided in your favor, however, we were unable to recover any funds from the seller's account. As stated in the PayPal User Agreement, recovery of funds associated with a Buyer Complaint cannot be guaranteed.
How they call it Buyer Protection if they don't reimburse the buyer, even though they found in my favor?!?! Am I just out the money??
=================
NOW TAKE NOTICE HOW THESE (few and always the same) PEOPLE WONT ADDRESS THAT THIS SELLER IS ALREADY BACK ON eBay.
Looks like intentionally TRYING to steer / obfuscate this topic and push the facts under the proverbial PP rug.
If this seller is still around in 48 hours with this NEW ID. Than that's proof positive in my mind, eBay and it's group of thugs do indeed protect and profit from fraud.
OK here's more posts:

Was there a Buyer Protection logo displayed in the auction listing? When was the payment made?
I suspect this was a sale that had no Buyer Protection under the pre-Jan 17 policy, otherwise you should have been covered by Paypal.

kkbrg (9 ) View Listings | Report Jan-29-07 08:56 PST 12 of 14 To answer some of your questions, the transaction was prior to January 17. I am not very familiar with ebay. I've only bought a few times before, and I got burned really big on a $1000 purchase a couple years back, so I've been a bit fearful to use it. Just recently I decided to "test the waters" again. I ordered a ring in Dec (it came just fine, so no, it was not that seller), then the beginning of January I ordered several magazine subscriptions, 5 of which were from paperdreams, or something like that. She is the seller in question. I thought that if I paid with paypal I was covered. I didn't know anything about the seller needing to be paypal certified (or whatever you called it). I will check with Visa, since that's who issued my debit card. Thanks for that tip.
So, this seller has re-registered another name--is that what one of you are saying?

kkbrg (9 ) View Listings | Report Jan-29-07 09:11 PST 13 of 14 OK, I did some detective work based on the explanation one of you gave me. Yes, I see that paperdreamsmagazines is now monkeymagazines, with the same paypal email address. On her auctions, there is a gold star logo-thing that says paypal verified (I would assume that meant she is indeed paypal verified) but when I click on it, it says she is NOT verified. What's up with that?? And if she's still selling, and still has a paypal account, why did paypal tell me they were unable to recover any funds from her account?
I'll admit this is not a large amount of money (around $25). That is not the point. The point is a huge entity like ebay or paypal that doesn't offer protection to buyers. And the point is this woman is taking people's money, bailing out, then re-registering.

THIS IS WHY I GOT INVOLVED IN THE FIRST PLACE. NOT THAT THERE WAS FRAUD ON THE SITE. BUT THAT SOME ARE THERE ON THOSE BOARDS TO COVER IT UP. That makes them complicit in illegal activity, no matter how they try and slice it. IMO of course...
UPDATE The seller is NARU now. Probably just got another ID. Oh well... what do we expect. It's ebay and the world is getting wise that it truly is SCAM central.
