You probably won't want to quote WJS, Marke****ch, Forbes, ABC, or NBC on eBay's quarterly report.

It's time to start those, "Enron," chants again.

I just loooooooooove watching it rain on someone's parade.

You don't get the WSJ?

EBay Inc. reported Wednesday that fourth-quarter profit increased 24 percent from the same period last year, trouncing Wall Street estimates and prompting executives to raise guidance for the current quarter.

*23% of that increased profit was obtained by locking up EVERY seller's account who accepted Paypal for their PS3 and Wii auctions. EBay considers that money to be profit, since none of those sellers will EVER see their money again!

We do know that freezing all those accounts certainly did not hurt ebaY.

I wonder how many innocent, unsuspecting consumer's holly-daze were ruined though? There were TONS of folks complaining.

They were even/still reportedly, freezing entire accounts, not just the amount disputed.

There are so many pissed off, ripped off, holidazed sleazebay/Painpal  shoppers that the threads on the nazi board  only stay on the first page for a few hours, and then they are replaced by other ripped off, pissed off  victims.

Huh... that was on digg, and ALL over gaming related sites and boards like you would not believe. They would have overwhelmed the boards "over there"

Weren't there even sightings of pp bd pros defending pp's honor far from their home base?

Businessweek 1/25/06

The big surprise of the season, however, was the strength of the services supposed to be suffering at the hands of Google. PayPal posted revenues of $417 million, a 37% growth rate compared with 2005’s fourth quarter. The payment-service company handled a record $11 billion in transactions, up 57%.

Lucky you've got one another to lean on.  Denial is easier as a team sport.

No surprise, when EVERY seller was REQUIRED to accept Paypal for their PS3 auctions. Since they initially sold in the 3k to 5k range, it wouldn't take too many of those deals to increase Paypal profits. Paypal takes the popularity of the PS3 and the Wii as a sign of THEIR popularity! Unreal!

Nice to see that ruth has at least someplace to post now. Even if what she is posting is her usual drivel.

It's nice to see Ruth anytime.  She honest, and tells it like it is.  You should take lessons from her bored, then you might be accepted everywhere too.  It must suck to be

Well said.

I still do not understand why they are even here, since we are insignificant.

I think they are just plain poor sports.

Besides.

The bored trolls already have their own little club.

the tellers of the TRUTH.

Great plan LieWorld, never smart to keep it contained eh?

What a legacy these people will leave.

"Grandma grandpa... what did you do for man kind"?

"Well kid, we spent every waking hour lying to people and protecting criminal

xppman:  I preached about the evils of eBay.

grandson: But didn't you also continue to sell on eBay?

xppman: Yes, it was part of the bigger plan.

grandson: What was the bigger plan?

xppman: To bring down eBay.

grandson: Oh gramps! You are so smart!

xppman: Yes I am.  I'm the savior of mankind.

Really Boring, maybe you should check out my latest thread on the Paypal board. I always enjoy pointing out eBay's obvious conflict of interest by forcing ScamPal on newbie sellers...

You think eBay's in a conflict of interests by coaxing sellers to use a payment service that eBay owns?  That's rich.
