OUCH! Looks like yet another scathing review for the worlds biggest scam site. Obviously the author has an agenda, (since we all know ebay is wonderful).
A Fraudsters' Haven
Joe Grima argues that internet auction sites such as eBay are no longer safe Monday, 30 October, 2006
(snippet)...All that has changed. In my opinion eBay is now inundated with fraudsters who present their wares in the most unsuspecting manner, carrying eBay warnings, eBay logos et al when all the time they are trying to take your money and run.
In my view, eBay has lost control of these criminals and the invasion of eBay by sellers bent on fraud is quite thorough. What is much worse is that when the unthinkable happens, the buyer is left standing alone practically without any assistance from eBay whatsoever.
Resorting to the eBay Fraud section, known as the Trust and Safety Department, is a nightmare of sheer frustration. Most of the responses to one's pleas for help are automated. The computer selects your name to open the response with and a signature for the bottom of the response, as if a living person is sending you the reply to your email after having read your complaint, when this will be just an automated message.

CAPP Consumers Against PayPal Policies - Exposing the sleazery of sleazebay and painpal
Good article and so very true. And when you hear the other side its the sellers that scream they are getting ripped off. I closed both my ebay and paypal account due to a seller that scammed me. Not only that paypal backed him even after I sent them the verification the article was fake from their own ebay vero!!!!!!!!! I still stop in and read the capps board and even lurk on the paypal forum just seems nothing much changes it only gets worse as more scammer jump on the band wagon. Too bad the few bad apples ruin it for the majority of good people that are honest.

Hi Bandit. I closed my e-bay account too. Who wants to spend 6 months in court trying to finalize an auction. I can't believe the lengths people have to go through now, just to sell a candle, or a pair of earrings, or bubble wrap. Who wants to File here, e-mail this, sue the P.O. & spend hours on hold waiting for a PP rep. I say, wrap yourself in bubble wrap, put the earrings on, light the candle, and wait for the old man to get home!
