My (one of many) Paypal stories

I don't bother posting on the "other" forum just because my post would get ripped apart by the likes of Clinic and the gang.

March of this year I sold a $230 item on eBay. I found the item to be less than described so I refunded the buyer via Paypal. Two days later he filed a CC chargeback.

I called Paypal..boy was I hot!! I told them I refunded the buyer and had to give the refund transaction ID. The rep told me "Uh, yeah this shouldn't have happened. But when a chargeback is initiated the credit card company has the money, not Paypal. Just give Paypal a few days and we will tell the CC company you refunded the buyer. You should have your money back in your account within a few days."

A month passed.
No money.
I called. They told me a chargeback could take up to 90 days.

After 90 days passed I called.

Paypal claims they never deducted the chargeback amount from my account.

I check the history, and sure enough, it shows the funds were never removed.

HOW can that be as they were certainly removed 3 months prior?

Sweetie, In the immortal words of Pres. Bush, Fool me once, shame on you.  Fool me twice.........

If you have "many" PP stories, we might have to bottle feed you back to reality.  Do you have flashbacks? Night Sweats?  When you're driving down the highway, do you think you see Clinic in front of your car?

Yes. But it is a good dream. I am driving a steam roller and CliniclyInsane stops in front of me to pick up a penny.

That story is the LAST one I have. I stopped using Paypal after that. Last year I did over $100K in sales. So as you can guess Paypal has stepped on my feet a time or two.

Here's another...

I sold a heavy item on eBay. Buyer wanted it in 2 days. She got it in 3. She did a dispute. I sent it to her confirmed address, so I won.
Buyer then ships the item back to me OVERNIGHT to the tune of $110 shipping (method of payment was "bill receiver"). Then she did a chargeback.
I refused the package, but am still billed for it (still in dispute with DHL).

LOL - sounds like Ebay isn't the sort of place you should do business. Try sticking to yard sales.

If you look at ebay's numbers seems that well over two thirds of ebay's registered useres feel the same way. That is why eBay is history. Ass wipe.
