I doubt very seriously that Liveworld is gone. If they are, good riddance, but I would hesitate to celebrate just yet.

But regardless, keep in mind that Paypal is the one we need to get to change their ways. They are still screwing people at a prodigious rate.

I for one am still waiting for a bomb to drop on the eBay/Paypal world. Until then I'm going to keep fighting the good fight.

If you compare this battle to WW2 and if Liveworld is gone it would be like getting a toehold on the Normandy beaches. There would still be a long way to go. Nows not the time to let our guard down.

I see this as the calm before the storm. I feel some major changes are underway over there, but don't know if they will be positive or negative.

Oh there is something in the air for sure.... Here are some possibilities..

1. Ebay is cutting back spending in order to gear up for some big legal battles over google checkout

2. Liveworld pros are changing names and stradegies, to inorder to come across as a more friendly helpful outfit (hince sandy's helpful post)

3. They have given up (doubt it very seriously)

4. They are hiding hoping we will lose interest and give up

5. Ebay is changing their entire structure, heads are rolling, PR campaign is beginning

6. Liveworld is hiding in order to give us a false sense of security, hoping we will start being bold with our posts, to slap the hell out of us continuously in order to try to permanantly remove us

7. XP's suggestion that someone or some big entity is watching the boards trying to prove colusion.

8. They are paranoid that Google is watching the board, and are afraid of giving google ammunition for court battles...

9. Liveworld, Ebay, and Paypal feel that Clinic and Sandy has had too much exposure, so they are sending out new dogs

At this time I personally think 1,5,7, & 8...

what does everyone else think?

I agree. They're still there alright, But the "behaviour" is all distorted. Something is up. Either PP has informed them they won't be renewing their contract, so we have a skeleton crew till times up, (a not very happy with PP anymore skeleton crew.)

Or, they have been told to lighten up for the time being, to avoid any more bad publicity.

Bid, great post, I think all of them. I await the outcome with baited breath, no matter which answer is right. It should be in our favor

I would love to be a fly on the wall at Ebay, liveworld, or paypal. I think you are exactly right... When the enemy retreats, we know the emeny is losing foothold and are trying to regroup in some way or fashion...

Liveworld, I believe, like the rest of the ebay family is going through a transitional phase during this time of corporate executive shakeups.

They are hardly dead. I do believe that their employees are now all equipped with an extra chromosome to ensure accuracy, truthfulness as well as for your general reading pleasure

and can be found here

If ebay doesn't seriously PAD their numbers AGAIN you can
bet that the numbers of active users will be way lower than the last report.

I already suspect their revenues reporting has been skewed for a long time.

That will fun to shove under the LW fools faces.
