Just released! Here is the first step to Google Checkout being allowed on eBay! I'll be adding this to the "News" pages on the site. Someone may want to inform those on the eBay board...lol
ShopSite Inc. has released a new version of its ecommerce shopping-cart and catalog software for small to medium-sized businesses. ShopSite Version 8.1 offers eBay integration and PayPal Website Payments Pro and supports recently launched Google Checkout.
As a member of the eBay Developers Program, ShopSite uses the eBay APIs to allow merchants to list products from their ShopSite store on eBay with two clicks. ShopSite CEO David Hills said, "8.1 allows customers to list products on eBay from within the application, allowing merchants to increase their customer base."
The ShopSite product line includes ShopSite Starter for merchants just starting out; ShopSite Manager for an unlimited number of products and pages; and ShopSite Pro for stores that need advanced features such as coupons, digital downloads, gift certificates, customer registration, inventory tracking, volume discounts, and associates (http://www.shopsite.com/scchecklist.html). ShopSite is server-based software that works with existing Web browsers, which means that merchants do not need to download or install anything on their desktop in order to create and manage a ShopSite store.
THIS IS GREAT NEWS! The Nazi board won't like this info at all. I'll be SURE to tell them. And I am signing up for shopsite today! Thank you so much admin, you rock!
I have never used Shop-Site so I can't comment on their services. I do think that this is clearly the first step in allowing users to integrate Google into their listings on their own, without the use of a shopping cart though.
If eBay is allowing GC through a shopping cart, they won't be able to deny it to users who do not use a shopping cart.
