42% willing to SWITCH from PayPal to Google Checkout!

Excerpt-

"....people actually await Google's payment system anxiously. In fact, a poll by Digital Point, shows that 42% are going to switch to GBuy given the option."

When Google does go into C2C transactions (and people are given the option), looks like PayPal might be hurtin!  This is an unofficial poll, I'm sure but nearly HALF are willing to switch????  That says something.....no....SOMETHING.....in a BIG way!

Here is the article-

Right now the numbers are up to 44%, but in all fairness, only 52 people have submitted opinions. (Otherwise I would have posted that over there already) Of course, most people will never know about that poll. They will just tool up to accept google payments, regardless of ebay rules.

Has anyone been noticing that quite a few sellers with huge feedback numbers have posted over there about dis-satisfaction with PayPal though?

Yes, liveworld is losing the race, paypal is going down like ebay stocks. I have signed up for Google base, Google adsence, and Google checkout buy and sell, as well as BidPay. The devil made me do it!

I am concerned about something... In the UA (Here we go) It says that you give them right to run a credit report on you... Does this mean you have to have good credit to be allowed to use G checkout?

Thanks anonymous
I'm on so many boards spreading the news and trying to help people.
Naturally everyone's system
is a bit different on how the HTML is handled when posting.

I really appreciate it.

Of course they are losing the race.
They always were after greedbay got their hands on them.
Try to name ONE purchase ebay has made that has worked out for them.
You will find none.

The golden egg Meg had was dropped and now the yolk has
been oozing down the sides of the beast for some time now
and it really smells bad.

I do not know if "good credit" is needed, however, they SHOULD be running a credit report on those that sign up. This is part of the verification process to determine that the user is who they say they are. This would cut down on fraud.

This is where Paypal has dropped the ball. They do not verify the user during sign up. Instead they choose to lock your account and verify you after you have started selling. This creates problems for the seller and often ruins a new sellers business, costing Ebay a seller. How many future PS has Paypal chased off of Ebay due to this?

This is what I have been trying to get across to those simpletons on the Paypal board, but they refuse to listen.

Dan,

I signed up with them last night. I agree, they should verify at the Gate. I wasnt think about using your Credit report for verification.. I was thinking CREDIT SCORE...LOL But I am glad they verify at the get-go Instead of waiting to extort your personal information like Paypal did to me and does to millions...  Glad to see you over here on this board..
