Why have a members only forum? That's dumb. Instead, make it a forum where you have to register to post but anyone can view. Trust me, I know all about how forums work. I work for liveworld.
No posts will be pulled/removed from this forum. The only exception is if one contained someones personal phone number or address.
The reason it is a 'members only' forum at the moment is to see how many people were actually reading here. It wouldn't make any sense to allow them to read and not post when that is the very thing I wanted to discourage. You onviously do not know forums as well as you think or you would understand the concept.
If they want to read bad enough, they will register. In fact, it's already working.
"Members Only" was temporary as noted in my original post. I may experiement from time to time on which variations of registration are most successful.
Don't you just love um? The simple minded, the slow starters. Reminds me of when I was a kid and the bully came by. When he tried to beat you with big words like "DUH" and failed, he always fell back on name-calling and anything else that was disruptive. We should be glad you couldn’t throw rocks in cyber space.
What I have come to learn is that the bully always strikes hardest when he is most frightened.
