I was very nicely sticking up for the Paypal cheerleaders I swear I was. LOL
I told everyone not to be so hard on them that they were doing exactly what they were asked to do. You know things like promote Paypal while leaving out the loopholes so that People thought they were safe so that when a persons number came up they could use the loophole against them then instead etc. etc.
I praised them up and down for their hard work!!! Distracting from the real issue of Paypal policy and everything.
I even praised the other Paypal employees for their off topic reply emails to questions, Having one Paypal employee tell you one thing and another the exact opposite to really confuse you and brought up how they were so good at losing the documentation that they require for restricted accounts.
and what do I get : MY POST DELETED!
It must have been when I asked how many reputable companies would have to ask for these sensitive documents like your SS#, DL#, account numbers over and over again because they say they lost them that did it. Said it was scarier to think that they were losing them than to think that they were just stacking them up in a file to buy more time for Paypal to collect interest on their money.
ROTFLMAO!! See what you get for trying to be nice to the cheerleaders!
You guys don't give the cheerleaders here and Paypal employees enough credit. They are doing EXACTLY what they have been asked to do.

Cheerleaders are to promote Paypal use by giving people just enough information about Paypal to make people feel it is a safe payment method yet not point out the loopholes they have so people feel safe until Paypal decides that persons number is up when they use the loopholes against them.

They are to make sure that the if a person is wronged they are made to look like an idiot or a whiner and told they should have read and understood the Paypal policies, and/or direct your anger toward either the buyer or seller instead of the Paypal policies that allowed that buyer or seller to steal from you. They in effect need to point out that nothing is ever Paypal's fault.

Deleted Posts are very common on these boards also.

Other Paypal employees are told to frustrate you to no end by use of double talk, sending reply emails that have nothing to do with your subject, make you send documentation over and over again in hopes that you just give up, and/or give the complete opposite information than the last PP employee gave you to confuse you further.
The longer Paypal can keep your money tied up the better for Paypal.

How many reputable companies would have to ask for your documentation over and over again because they lost or misplaced it? Not many. Remember they are dealing with some of your most personal info here. Drivers License, Social Security #, Bank account #'s etc- and they lost it? That would scare me more than actually believing they were just stacking them up in a file to string me along.

So give the Paypal team the credit they deserve! They are not dumb. They do their job and they do it well by the number of complaints that are posted here and on other sites.
CAPP-Consumers Against Paypal Policies

You do realize that the ebay boards are hardly a level playing field, right? They are carefully manipulated and controlled. It looks like they get their tactics straight from an Orwellian novel 1984 complete with doublespeak, memory holes and the whole shebang, add a touch of Animal Farm as well.
Very skilled propagandists. indeed.
Just the fact they delete the posts, and also troll the various antipaypal sites is very telling to say the least.
Just imagine, only a very few folks are keeping them jumping, they are losing!
They have to resort to censorship because they can only lie so much.
Has anyone noticed when you google paypal, only paypal its self is higher on the results list than the anti PP sites, and they probably pay a fee to have that done!
Anyway, here are some pages from the lie world site, read over them to get an insight of what you are dealing with. Be sure also to Download and read their brochure and any other PDF files over there, (there are 2 of them). Then, use their own tactics against them. Of course those posts will get deleted, but it is lots of fun anyway
here, this jpg, the client pages, and the ebay flash movie are very telling. For some reason the client link above does not seem to work, just click clients at the top of their page.
Yes I knew when I wrote the above that it would be deleted. It just didn't stop me from writing it anyway LOL.
Anytime they delete a post, anyone that has read that post and comes back later realizes the post has been deleted gets the fact that that board is one sided slapped right in their face. So not only did some get to read my post before it was deleted but it also makes them look bad for deleting it.
If Paypal were really a good safe company they would have no need for censure of a discussion board about their service. They would be able to use anything that was said to improve their company not try to cover any flaws (or in this case intentional flaws) up.
They are losing the fight to make Paypal appear to be safe for anyone to use, but when you screw over that many people it is bound to catch up with you sooner or later.
I really do know what I am up against. But little truth telling jabs not only satisfies my need to tell others what they are like which hopefully makes others think but at times I find it very fun and entertaining!
over and over the cheerleaders preach chargeback and use a credit card. How many times are you going to use it for paypal until your issuer cancels it because your a risk? I am surprised Mastercharge and visa and ect. don't have a stipulation upon issue that paypal chargebacks are not covered. Then what choice do you have but a paypal card and they have you for good then. Keep up the good work of letting everyone know just what a rip off paypal really is and if we only knew it all. What we do know is enough. User agreement was written for paypal not the user. No seller can comply 100% with the spp as written and paypal knows it.
