Here's another little thing which seemed peculiar...
On the sites linking in portion from 07-23 2013, we see the twitter page for Terra Farrell linking in. If you followed that back to twitter, then clicked her ebaY store link on her twitter banner, you found that she was NARU, or no longer a registered user.
Not sure how that may happen, what that might mean etc, just seems rather odd though... but this is ebaY after all.
The incoming links they show on Alexa for ebaY are all old pages which do not even appear to have ebaY links on them, nor ever could have, did have .... Try it yourself anytime.
Interesting....
Reminds me of the so called 'referrer spam' blackhat seo technique, where people/seo bots try to harm rankings by making it look like trashy sites link to webpages, (where no such links actually exist) only in reverse.
Maybe someone out there with more expertise could shine more light on this issue?
Since the last post I made above, ebaY's USA rank on Alexa declined, then quickly rose 2 more spots to where it is now. That while everything (data, user accounts etc) we can see elsewhere shows decline.
The worldwide rank remained the same.
Quite frankly after the cookie stuffing fake traffic scams that ebay conducted in the past, nothing can be beyond belief.
