I see that sleazebay and their supposedly soon to be estranged 'moderation' service Lieworld are still up to the same old tricks of censoring/destroying evidence of fraud.
This time removing all mentions of what may be one of the most bizarre, 'specialized' and long running scam situations I've ever seen. Strawberry Shortcake is a collectible doll.
The scam was basically a serial non paying bidder who wrecked the auctions for strawberry shortcake dolls by bidding with a new ID just moments before the listings ended, making blocking the troublemaker useless. Despite complaint after complaint sleazebay seems to have refused to take any action. It looks like it was terrorizing the entire ebay strawberry shortcake doll collectible world.
The thread and other similar mentions were very recently removed, apparently around the end of May 2013.
Here's the main thread (former location) which was ongoing since August 2013.
Finally, a small, curious sample from the [complete] archived thread. Golly gee, I wonder why they deleted that thread ? lmao
Just my opinion... I feel there's a very good chance this is/was the work of a disgruntled ebaY employee (possibly from the upper echelons) and a small band of cohorts. I have good reason to believe that, but I'll leave that for later.
This member won all 3 of my dolls and never paid. I read her feedback before she set it to private and it said she bids on Strawberry Shortcake Dolls but never pays. Her contact information is incorrect as well. She gets caught and then opens up a new account/username. Right now it's julesberri...Block this bidder if you are selling Strawberry Shortcake...The member that warned me said she's been doing this for over a year and no one is doing anything about it...
