What Could eBay Do to Better Protect Sellers?

This should probably be illustrated with the Charlie Brown Lucy and football comic strip. Somehow ebayers fall for this stuff every single time. zzzzzzzzzzzzz

What Could eBay Do to Better Protect Sellers?
By: Ina Steiner

One bad buyer can cost a seller money and ruin his or her reputation, so what is eBay doing to protect sellers? You can find out on Thursday when eBay hosts a workshop to tell sellers how eBay protects them when things go awry.

I'll be interviewing eBay Director of Seller Protections Rich Matsuura on Tuesday in advance of the workshop, and would like to know what questions you have about seller protection, Feedback, Detailed Seller Ratings and other aspects of selling.

rea the rest at link...

bwhahahaha!  ^ Whatever it is that's going with this ridiculous (and unprecedented) workshop in the height of the shopping season has all apearances of some sort of social engineering ploy or PR stunt. First off... as if ebaY doesn't have someone/something hanging on every word posted about them wherever they may find it, or are unable to directly and casually interact with the 'community' 247365

Second, when they do ask for input, what do they do?

Who has the shorter memory? ebay or the members?

eBay Surveys Users about How They Perceive the Marketplace

Likewise here, follow the links to the laughable "results" of the "survey". If my memory serves me, they butchered and censored the living bleep out of the discussion.

Conversation with Kate about the Survey July 2012

No telling what all the flap is really about but I'm sure there's more to it than is being let on.

If you think ebay wants to protect more than their share price and bloated salaries, think again.

Ebayers are just noise. Don't ever forget that.

bwhahahahahhaaaaaa! 4 year long troll ride!

How are eBay sellers protected from bad buyers?

eBay Live 2008, Lunch with the Executives! Only priority pass members were at this luncheon. Tickets were sold out for this event!
I was impressed with the food and the speakers!

If you people think the latest dog and pony show is anything but a continuance of the same, I have a bridge to sell you! falsus in uno, falsus in omnibus...

Look people, the only thing you can do is leave! The only things which ebay understands is the sound of footsteps and the empty spaces left in their pocketbooks. Close your accounts and persuade others to do the same! Then sit back and enjoy the entertainment.

Or else, deal with it! But we all know too well that ebay is dead! It's never coming back!

http://pages.ebay.com/sellerinformation/sellerprotection/sellerprotection.html

Did you know?

eBay will be hosting a FREE Online Seller Protection Workshop with Live Q & A on January 9, from 10:00 am - 11:30 pm PT. Talk to the team and learn how eBay protects you. Don't miss it - sign up today!

By golly, I guess I was wrong. It's not like Charlie Brown, Lucy and the football. It's maybe more like this:

And wouldn't you know it, just in time for some heaping PR fluff & spin before the big ol' Q report.

A kinder, gentler, Touchy-feelie-bay. Protecting those sellers. I can see it now. rotflmao.
