UL Warns of Heat Guns With Unauthorized UL Mark

UL is notifying consumers and retailers that the heat gun identified below bears unauthorized UL Marks for the United States and Canada. These heat guns have not been evaluated by UL to the appropriate Standards for Safety for the United States and Canada, and are not authorized to bear the UL Mark. It is unknown if these heat guns comply with the United States or Canadian safety requirements.

There was another blurb and TV news report not long ago which stated that counterfeit laptop power supply/battery chargers and other small appliances from sleazebay were starting fires. I've managed to lose the link, but just another good reason to never buy anything there.
