and for sharing your mal-experience. Sorry about your misfortune.
I wish everyone whom has had run-ins with the crew over there would blog it.
Each time someone else pokes a hole through the now stained and tattered Pink Curtain, we see more of what sort of sleazey, scary monsters are actually behind it. While we may not see enough at once to know exactly what IT is, we can sure see a lot of slithering.
It's been an interesting twelve hours. First, I sent off my complaint package to the Massachusetts Division of Banks; you can read the whole thing in this PDF (it includes a letter to the eBay and PayPal Chief Headless Turkeys on page 16, with which I enclosed the Division of Banks materials just for fun).
I urge anyone reading this to not kowtow to these people. File complaints to the appropriate authorities if you feel you're being swindled, conned or laws are being broken.
But don't stop there. Document it on the web, spread the word in real life that by company admission, overall appearances, and in the absence of any other reasonable, plausible explanation for the 'peculiarities' we see constantly, ebay and paypal undoubtedly use paid shills, astroturfers, liars, goons, thugs and stalkers to try and silence any 'noise', (that along with good ol' fashioned communist-like censorship)
I could go on and on but I think this explains everything well.
BTW, what is your technique for making those seamless website screenshot images? I just tried to do the same with one of the eBay forum topics I posted in, seems my only options are to make a pdf which results in multiple pages, or manually do a screenshot of each page and paste together in photoshop, which seems cumbersome...
There isn't any shortage of abrasive personalities cheerleading for sleazebay. Moreover, the bigger issues are that they have a shoddy, substandard platform in every way imaginable, and they resort to cheap, dirty, dishonest and outright illegal tactics to further their agenda.
Imagine, they fired all their security & ATO staff, broke all report forms, changed the ToS literally hundreds of times, made the most arcane, obtuse new policies to hold everyone's funds, cheat them for their discounts, monetized the shipping gouging situation (of which they IGNORED reports) by scamming everyone by reaching right through the seller's sphincters to grab the buyers wallets... as they called it 'lowest fees ever' blah blah blah...
OMG, I'm just flabberghasted. rotflmoa!
The screencapture software is called Fireshot. It's free. Works with IE and Firefox.
I just put up a new post, this one's just for fun...I'll get back to posting the serious stuff over the weekend (like my recent fax to the US Department of Justice)...
One last tech question, is there an easy way to find the google cache page of a forum topic? I installed the screenshot program but legally it might be smarter to take a capture of the google cache...
I think it's cache: www.example.com in google's search bar, or just search the exact page title then click cached page. There is a google help advanced page too with various tips where you can find you for sure. There may be a special plugin at mycroft. The other search engines also have cached pages. Don't overlook Internet Archives wayback machine for some pages either.

Meh! A casual mention of ID theft and fakes at the right moment now and then is all it takes to keep people from using ebay. Out in the real world it's nothing but a bad joke.
Anyone with the very least amount of street smarts only needs to look at the forums to know they are nothing but a con-job. Those shills have been exposed and busted time after time.
BTW Bud, that youtube channel screenshot is priceless. Another keeper.
