Well well... look what I found

Unaudited Payments Supplemental Operating Data As Of June 30, 2007(Q2)
PayPal Accounts
Total accounts: (1) 153.1
Total Active accounts: (2) 35.9
Total In-active accounts: 117.2

(1) Cumulative total of all accounts opened, including users who made payments using PayPal
but have not registered, excluding
accounts that have been closed or locked and excluding payment gateway business accounts.
Users may register more than once, and as a result, may have more than one account.

(2) All accounts, and users whether registered or not,
that sent or received at least one payment through the PayPal system during the
quarter. Users may register more than once, and as a result, may have more than one account.

My Comments: So as usual, they over inflate their numbers.
On the web site the claim "Now Over150 million accounts".
Meaning they lie, to make it appear there are more people using their service than actually are.

Ahem PP, if you only have 35.9 million active accounts.
Why are you falsely claiming/touting you have "Now Over150 million accounts"?

Oh I see... It looks better, for you, you think, to lie to the world and use miss-leading verbiage.
Got to really have a lot of trust in a company run like that.

Unaudited eBay Marketplaces Supplemental Operating Data As Of June 30, 2007(Q2)
eBay Accounts
Confirmed Registered Users: (1) 241.0
Active Users: (2) 83.3
Total In-active users: 157.7

(1) Cumulative total of all users who have completed the registration process on one of the eBay Marketplaces trading platforms.
Users may register more than once, and as a result, may have more than one account.

(2) All users, excluding users of Half.com and Internet Auction, who bid on, bought,
or listed an item within the previous 12-month
period. Users may register more than once, and as a result, may have more than one account.

My comments:
Well it's eBay, what do you expect?
They are upside down now more than they were a year ago in both sides.
No wonder they keep trying all this garbage.
They are truly grasping at straws more than ever before.

Hello xppman.

Thanks for posting that. That is very interesting.

I see the number of inactive accounts continues to grow, I wonder what would happen if we knew those numbers for person who just made a payment,

"but have not registered, excluding
accounts that have been closed or locked and excluding payment gateway business accounts.", and then also corrected for
Users who registered more than once, and as a result, have more than one account.

I would have to go back and look, I know it is posted on this board, how many active V inactive accounts there were in past Q reports.

I would bet the amount of inactives has outpaced active, especially after being corrected to filter out the weasel phrases.

You know something I just now noticed? Your post was here a couple whole days and not one stalker-troll came along and launched a personal attack upon you for posting facts.
