RETAILERS are demanding online auction firm eBay launches a crackdown on the sale of stolen goods on its website.
Companies including Asda, River Island and House of Fraser were among a group which met with the online firm to discuss ways in which intelligence about suspect sellers could be shared.
They also want bans on the sale of credit notes and vouchers from high street chains.
But eBay said it did not accept there were a "significant number" of stolen items on the site.
