CAPP MODERATOR WANTED

Being that I cannot be here as much as I'd like to, I am going to assign an account for a Moderator here.  This person will have a spearate account, aside from their username and no one will know who the moderator is.  This is to protect the member from harrassment.

I have added an ammendment to the Rules thread which reads:

**Disucssions must be primarily* related to topics which include, or can include, the use of PayPal.  Such topics include eBay, Google Checkout, consumer relations, educational resources, hacking, security issues, breach of contract, employees, etc.  Threads which serve no purpose to warn, inform, or educate the public on issues which can relate to PayPal may be removed.  In other words, don't post a thread about Betty's yellow dress unless it was paid for with PayPal or another service which can negatively or positively reflect upon Paypal. I will try to be as flexible as possible regarding this, but if threads become cluttered, you may see some of them removed.  Removed threads will be at the discretion of myself or the moderator.  The removal of a thread does not consititute that a forum rule was broken.  Some will be removed in an effort to help clean the board up.

*Off topic threads are still permitted at this time, just use common sense.

This ammendment will be effective immediately.  I have noticed several new threads which I feel serve no purpose on thei board.  The CAPP board is an open discussion board about the likes/dislikes of PayPal and the venues and services it provides, along with the people who work (or are believed to work) for it.  Many discussions can be related to PayPal in some form or fashion, but a recent thread I deleted served no purpose what-so-ever in informing consumers of anything remotely related to Paypal.  It is these threads which will be cleaned up.  You can discuss anything you wish here, as long as you in some way, incorporate how it applies to PayPal.  Discussions of eBay board threads, and its people, are permitted here because it is "part" of discussing PayPal.

Free speech is and always will be welcomed here, however, repeated stalking, harrassment, or abuse will not be tolerated.

The board moderator will be required to follow the rules posted on this forum and must be fair to everyone involved.  This person must be available to check the board on a regular basis.  They will be able to edit and/or delete threads and posts.  They will be able to ban a user.  If a user is banned, the moderator will have access to the user's IP address.  This information MUST BE KEPT CONFIDENTIAL and needs to be given to me.  The board moderator can communicate with me as needed.  PM's and board decisions will be between myself and the board moderator ONLY.  A board moderator is expected to hold themsleves to a higher standard than regualr board members and must conduct themselves in a manner which reflects the best interests of CAPP.  When a post or thread is edited, the moderator must include a notation in the post which explains why the post was edited such as "this post contained personal, identifyable information which was removed".  This helps everyone understand what is going on and allows them to learn what is and isn't acceptable here.

Over the course of the next 2 weeks, there will be a few changes here.  I will post to make you aware of when these changes take place.

If you are interested in being a volunteer moderator for the CAPP board, then please PM me and let me know.  I will make my decision based on a few factors such as: length of time you have been a member, number of posts, how often you log in, content of your posts, and my belief that you would be a fair individual for everyone here, even if you do not agree with their beliefs.  You cannot moderate someone just because you do not like them.  That is not what free speech is about.  Once the decision has been made, I will contact the person to let them know and I will also inform the board.  If it appears that the decision is not working out, I will remove the Mod status for that member and choose another.  My main goal is to be FAIR to everyone.

I will make a decison sometime next weekend.

I commend you for perceiving that things were getting out of hand to the detriment of the prime directive. Salutations to you.

Out of hand is a bloody understatement. And, the prime directive, my derriere!!
Your posters are harming individuals and businesses. It was irresponsible of you to leave this board without moderation.

In any case, it is too late. Cyber Diva has apparently taken over your board. she is a known stalker and has a criminal record.
Here is the government file on her:

I hope you understand that you are responsible.

Important message for Ms. Passion....

"It's a world-class business," said Richard Power, editorial director of the Computer Security Institute, a private research firm that tracks electronic crime. "Al-Qaida and serious narcotic terrorists are using credit card fraud to finance their groups."

p.s. Passion, you statement above is malicious, reckless and libelous, but you already knew it was since you claim to be the niece of Senator Levin and therefore should have known better.

For your information, I DO not have a RECORD, Ms. Passion, why would I? I won the case against the Texas Dept. of Banking, and, in fact, one of their bank "regulators" went to JAIL for ten years for drug trafficking (among other things) on account of my legal research, and testimony. You should have done YOUR homework before you got involved in stalking, libeling and harassing me. Don't you get that yet?

You are a danger to yourself and to others when you post such things.

[file edit note: I understand that "they," former eBaY terroristic vigilantes such as evidently- Ms. Passion, often falsely refer to their targeted victims as having a "criminal" record but frankly I expected more (or better) from Ms. Passion who claimed she's the niece of the honorable Senator Levin. ]

[edited malicious (libel) content from jewelry competitor Nicole's (Passion / BelisimaJewelry, etc. ) published libelous statement here at CAPP, as per Admin's instructions.]

I hope you understand that you have 24 hours to clean your act up or you will no longer be a member here.

I don't believe my leaving the board without moderation was the problem.  If I remember correctly, it was people bringing their junk to this board from other forums, abusing privelages here, and not being mature enough to participate in a free speech forum.

If you don't like how I run MY board, leave.
