Here is yet another fake sign in page, still active many hours after being reported.

Also, if you look at the response #5 here, would this indicate, perhaps, that Vladuz is not the only person hacking/phishing/pharming?

Thanks Diva, you really are too kind.

Sometimes, you will find listings such as this next example, where the seller/consumer is vigilant/ and/or re/pro-active, (or left to fend for themselves, from another perspective perhaps)

I have seen and captured some other fine examples where the hackers/hijackers hammered away with more and more revisions, flogging the seller, and most likely, confusing the prospective bidder/buyer, if not altogether scamming them.

Interesting product, yes? Whatever else, we need to keep the murderabilia crowd @ ebaY pacified, please, let us not fail.

OMG. This is really seeming to get worse and worse and worse all along.
Already I have seen some fake sign-in pages, but now they are on members "about me" pages.
Just guessing, this could be some other hackers, who were able to simply view source, copy, modify as need be for their purposes.

Next, we see the high volume, non stop PUMPING of listings into the sysytem, note the number os items, Vs the times in these next screencaps. I sat there reloading page and making a screencap, "manually", with mwsnap, takes 5 seconds or so, they were rapidly increasing. CARNAGE!!!

Finally, for just a bit of humour, the screencap dejour

More porn, more consumers complaining about it on ebaY forums.

EbaY/liveworld pulling more postings which would serve to alert and help protect consumers,

Helpful, informative "About Me" pages going missing...

Oh, what a tangled web...

But here is the shocker de jour.

Ahem... Isn't there some sort of gov't body that is supposed to regulate things like this? If so, we need to file complaints.

Anyone recall the outrage over that superbowl/janet jackson's breast incident? Where is it now? I have seen and documented downright hardcore porn, not just naked ladies. Others have too, no doubt.

Some may notice that I clicked on everyone of the links for the "Take a Tour" listings.

Not sure whether ebaY has fixed anything, but I was never redirected, no embedded objects found. I saved some, but have not looked to see just what the trick was or was supposed to be.

But that brings me to another point;

These girls are real people. Their websites are watermarked in the pictures. They deserve to be informed that their images are being displayed in HACKED ebaY listings.

How I got screwed by ebay, hotmail, and paypal

So today in the wee hours of the morning I got hacked. My ebay, hotmail and paypal accounts all got “compromised” of which I have only been able to regain control of my paypal account due to quick password changing. I have spent the last 14 hrs in customer support for both ebay and hotmail trying to regain access to my accounts on these sites, or at least shut down the accounts I once had (and took pride in). I don’t even have much of anything (a whole 23 positive transactions on ebay and nothing but useless personal contacts on hotmail). The person who hacked my accounts changed passwords and “secret questions” so I’m completely locked out. In order to reset password on ebay I need to be able to access my hotmail account and my hotmail account requires a correctly answered “secret question” to access it once the password has been changed. Why they can’t require the “secret question” answer to anyone trying to change the password is beyond me. So some stupid **** who figured out my password at hotmail was able to acquire the passwords to my other accounts and change all the passwords and secret questions to everything. This is what I get for trying to use the internet to help fund my escape from the society that they thrive in. Let this be a lesson to everyone…Karma’s a bitch…and change your passwords weekly or better!

Couple more examples here. What I find curious, really, is the serial numbers of the nonexistant vehicles.

I'm pretty sure others have noticed this too, and captured them.

Maybe some knows who that is in the top listing. Somehow, I doubt even she would like IT too much to be featured in a hacked auction.

OMG! And people "wondered" why so many legitimate companies have left eBaY in record numbers! When eBaY gets their "act" together, maybe they can show up again at the various "Trade Shows" around the country, and solicit companies back-perhaps-in the year 2220 or something!

That story reminds me of the time in 2002 a poster went on the boards claiming to be "God Mario" and threatened that he could end everyone's auctions, pull their contact info. and reak havoc on the place. His thread was quickly pulled, however, his accounts were not closed until much damage was done. Oh well. Those were the good ole days, it looks like its gotten far worse. Who would have thought so? I still stay "poor rob chesnut."

I suppose the real issue id that ebaY is RIDDLED with holes/scams/weaknesses.
Note the OP is stating that this came through ebaY message sytem.

Opening my FireFox Adblock Plus extension blockable items panel on the page reveals where the images would have come from. (blocked items are red in the panel) I find this curious, because for instance, if some bonehead forgets to edit a nasty pix at imageshack, the image is immediately un-hotlinked. Can't ebaY and/or PayPal control who hotlinks their graphics?

Look at my browser tabs to see the path I followed right to the auction.
OK, the redirect flaw is alive and well FOR ebay. Some of the scam pages are entire fake pages with a clear gif overlay. Look at the url.
Who knows, there could be an entire fake ebaY being built as we speak, if you will.

I have complete screenshots and all for this.

After blocking the gif I was able to get the source code as well. I sure hope someone out there realizes anyone can get the codes soooo easy IT is not funny.

I would hope that Meg gets on the phone and tells microsoft and yahoo to get over there and clean up that mess!...uh, nevermind... /snicker
