ebaY Departure Due for Donahoe?

just spotted this. Interesting possibilty.

Steve Ballmer's exit leaves Microsoft scrambling for a new leader in tough times

the ebay/Donahoe-centric portion:

If Microsoft decides to bring in a leader from the outside, it might consider EBay Inc. CEO John Donahoe or try to recruit Facebook Inc. Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg, Pacific Crest's Barnicle said.

Should Microsoft Recruit eBay CEO to Replace Ballmer?

---------------------

As it's been pointed out in the comments there, ^ rumors such as this are commonly floated in the finance world, for whatever reasons may be. Think about how many times the rumor of ebay buyout/selloff/split-up has been out there? One just very recently iirc

Looks like Donahoe will remain at sleazebay until all the pesky, noisy small sellers have been killed off? Or maybe until he kills sleazebay?
