New boss for PayPal Australia

Online payment service provider PayPal Australia has appointed a new managing director from the company's United States headquarters.

Jeff Clementz will take the top role after nine years with PayPal in San Jose, where he was most recently the leader of the company's operational team for global customer service and operations.

"Jeff brings with him the type of expertise that will be integral to leading the development of our Australian business," senior vice president of PayPal Asia Pacific Rupert Keeley said in a statement.

I can't tell whether that's a promotion or maybe even a lateral or less than move. Paypal's customer service is hardly worth bragging on (as more and more recent reports indicate)

At any rate, however doubtful,  maybe things might change at paypal now.
