eBay Tests Ads in Sellers Listings on US Site

from eBay Tests Ads in Sellers Listings on US Site

I see this:

"Through the extensive inventory provided by our sellers, buyers have tremendous opportunity to find exactly what they are looking for," Hoff said. "In those rare instances where the item is not available on eBay, we want to offer these buyers other avenues to find the item they desire. By offering other means for buyers to navigate and find exactly what they are looking for, eBay will become a top destination for buyers. This will help drive traffic to eBay and give sellers more visibility."

OMG, that is one slippery statement. Read it a few times. Classic!

So for those 'rare' times, place ads on millions & millions of people's paid for ads! bwhahahhahahaaaa!!!

Wow these people... what sort of trip are they on?

btw, go have a look at your favorite diamond sellers' listings. See any ads there? LoL!

It seems that ebaY sellers are 'spitting mad" over ads appearing uon their listings. Some competitors ads are in the middle of the listings above the description, then there's this format:

I didn't get a screencapture, but if you land on a specific item directly from a search results link on goog, you land on a listing page with an entire vertical column (20-25 items- looks just like a search results page), of other people's listings stuck smack dab in the middle of your listing. Above the description. LoL!!!
